Check your thermostat.

do the basics first. buy a new radiator cap, Top off the coolant, then start the car and let it idle. After a few minutes 10~15 when it warms up the fans should come on and 5 or so minutes later it should turn back off. Do this and respond if the car does any different than what I just outlined.

air cools better anyway... where are you leaking from make sure your pump is still good, they dont work so well without coolant

coolant doesnt just disappear. You are A-Leaking somewhere, or B-Radiator cap is dead and allowing coolant to puke early. So replace cap, (cheap anyways) and top it off and see if still consumes coolant. If yes - leak, if no - your good.

Its leaking = coolant gone = overheating

Where is it leaking from? Passanger side or driver side?

Out of the reservoir? Only reason it would puke out of it is A - Cap is dead and allowing too much pressure to bleed prematurely or B - Head gasket. As Stated a million times earlier. BUY A NEW CAP! ITS FUCKEN 7 DOLLARS. Don't reply back until you replace that cap as I mentioned to you a few times already.

im having similar problems but if you is overheating you really need get on all fours and see if its drippin coolant on the ground. If you notice the heat gauge on your car rising than it must have been runnin hot for a while because that stock temp gauge will not tell you is you is low or not on fluid.

Start the car with the cap off and see if it bubbles up after you start it. That can be signs of a headgasket problem also and what happens is the coolant is forced out of the reseve tank.
