 Re: waste gate
The code simply has to do with the BCS solenoid. If you have an upgraded turbo I would assume that you have a manual boost controller so the code actually has nothing to do with the turbo. You BCS probably just fell off or came unplugged, once you get a boost controller you don't need the solenoid to do anything other than stop the check engine light from turning on.

 Re: waste gate
manual. they work and get the job done. Why spend 3 hours wiring shit, reading a manual cus they write the instructions all weird, and trying to figure out how to set boost on the damn thing everything is all in KPa, then there is gain, warning, overboost, scramble boost, crack pressure. I still dont know wtf is gain.. Woop dee doo you can change boost from inside the car... how often do you change your boost setting? You set it once and forget it. And woop dee doo scramble boost gives you a little more boost for a short period of time, and extra 2 psi for 5 sec isnt going to feel like a 200shot of nitrous, you wont even realize it. Standard ball and spring style MBC under the hood, turn it to the right= more boost, left= less. Two vac lines and you are done. It's harder finding a place to mount it and make it look cool.

 Re: waste gate

 Re: waste gate
ok the vac line that runs to the waste gate has a lil electrinic silinoid in it. i looks like the one from the hks boostcontoller kit. i dont know what it is and my car wont stay running it will run for like 5 min and the shut of as soon as the check injen light comes on. but the only code that comes up is the waste gate

 Re: waste gate
CEL should not shut off the car. Sounds more like an electrical issue, ECU problem, or something to do with the car switching into closed loop mode. HKS solenoids usually tap into the BOV vac line fore boost reference or they use the one that comes off the turbo/j-pipe. In any case, just run a vac line from the turbo (if you have a stock t25) strait to the gold canister (wastegate actuator). This will net you 10psi. Or snap a pic of some of your vac line woes and I'll MS paint you the correct way to do it. Its fairly simple, not like old school cars with 100ft of vac lines under the hood.
