so david (havoc 95) has his 2ga GSX, pretty much stock (7-bolt) xcept for ebay intake nd exhaust nd my old rims. but in great condition. here's the story, he might come up on 6k to either: 1) sell his car and put a down payment on an evo OR 2) dump the 6k on his car and avoid high payments on car and insurance. if you had his car, how would you use $6,000 on it? What would you buy/upgrade on it to make it one of the baddest dsm's out there?

It's a clean GSX. I'd take the 6g's and dump into it. |

it would all depend on the owner of the car... the only thing bad about dumping the $$ into the DSM is...even if you build it right...they break down very quickly... with a new car there is the warranty...so if anything happens...it gets fixed for free... down side to either one....its going to cost a lot of $$..weather its monthly payments on a new evo...or periodic lump sums into fixing the dsm... i opted on keeping my 1G Talon...and buying a new Scion tC...i know its not a 4G63...but its great gas mileage, i like it, not too expensive, and its getting a turbo kit soon...., but my fun hobby car is still the Talon...just not a daily driver ...i honestly would keep the dsm and just buy a cheaper daily driver....(obvously...thats what i did) hahah...the dsm's are a lot of fun...but i wouldn't have it as my daily driver from how many times i have had mine break down... |

If you ask me , i would leave my dsm how it is just due some more minor upgrades, bov, real intake LOL, injectors, nice exhaust, little thing, the rest of the money just save it for emergencys and keep on saving man just cause you have 6k doesnt mean you have to spend it, save it!! |

An evo would hold up a couple of years of beating, and then some more especially with the warranty. a 95 gsx with what 120+ on chasis? Save the money. |

I say if you want reliable than dumping money into a DSM probably isn't the way to go. But if you do upgrade your GSX it will be way faster than your stock EVO would be. You could keep your DSM and slowly upgrade it and use the 6K to buy a Kia or something and you can have all the gas mileage and reliability you could want. |
