| Post subject: | fuel hose question |
hi guys, yesterday I changed the fuel pump of my 1995 GS, I'm mad right now because I couldn't attach back one the hoses connected to the fuel plate, its quite difficult because as you turn it, the whole line turns back and the metal part that is on the top of the assembly feels like it will snap off soon. I have some pics, if someone did this job. How did u do it |

Disconnect that hose from underneath the car first, then the hose will spin freely as you disconnect it from the top. Also, use flare/line wrenches so you don't strip the crap out of the nuts. Alternatively, you could tin snip the sheet metal far enough back directly above the hose, peel it back and lift the entire assembly out without disconnecting it. Hammer it back down after you're done, but this way leads to a better chance and bending your fuel gauge mechanism if you're not careful. |
