Hi guys, I'm gonna change my fuel filter but I have some questions before do it. Do I have to disconnect the fuel pump before remove the old fuel filter? Or how I can Depressurize the Fuel Line? I was removing it, but gasoline was coming out lol But in a forum I saw that I have to disconnect the fuel pump and remove the cap so the air comes out and star the engine until it stops and then I can do the job. I appreciated your help guys |

You can disconnect the power from the pump or pull the relay, Then start the car and let it run until it dies. Its sill going to leak fuel from the lines & filter but it wont spray everywhere like it would if it were pressurized still. |

Just shoot gas everywhere, call it engine degreasing. |
