Okay. i searched and searched and done everything possible. this jst started happening about 2weeks ago after i ran my car couple times.. PROBLEM: my boost keeps decreasing as my rpm's go up. I NEVER had this problem. my car always held 20psi all the way pass redline and now it goes to 20 and drops all the way to 10psi.. when i do a 3rd gear pull it goes to 20 and falls to 10psi, when i shift from 3rd to 4th it only goes up to 10 most times i've blt and found leaks on vacume lines and intercooler, bov..i changed em all and still can hold boost..(tried 4 diff BOV's) MODS: big16g(ported eveywhere. ported to make wastegate flapper open more) evo3 exhaust manifold, o2 dump housing, 3inch downpipe and catback and all supporting mods to rund 20psi +....PLEASE HELP ME sorry for long post |

Maybe a exhaust before the turbo?? Mine used to do this when I had a crappy exhaust mani gasket. I picked up the 4 layer one from RRE and it went away. |

well i did another boost leak test, but this time i did it from throttle body and i pressurized it to 20psi. i was looking at my boost gague and it went to 20psi and dropped quick to 10psi and from there it went to 0 about normal speed. like when i do a WOT pull i boost 20 and bleed to 10 quick..anyways, i heard a hiss by my throttle body so i sprayed soapy water and it bubbles on the throttle lever. where the throttle cables wraps around. thats the only place that i can find...any other ideas??? |

take your boost controller out of the picture. run a line from the wastegate directly to the boost source and see if it still bleeds down. also you may want to check the turbo for shaft play and all around servicability. meaning status of the wheels and housings. There will be no need to rebuild the throttle body at the moment as a tb seal leaking wont effect it to the extent that you are seeing. it will be needed later after you figure out what is causing the symptoms. do all the basic stuff first because thats normally what causes the problems. |

Could you have ported it too much leading into the internal flapper? It's possible the flapper is getting blown open and the stock actuator isn't strong enough to pull it shut again. I doubt this is the case at your current boost levels though.. |
