Hey fellas, my cars been making this weird noise when i reach 3500 rpm. If I'm in first for example and I cruise up to 3500 rpm it makes the noise. If I go past it kind of fast its not as noticeable until I let off. At first I thought it might have been the trans low on fluid but it isn't. Here's a really low quality video I took with phone, its the "groaning" noise u hear. |

When my tranny crapped, it made low pitched groaning/grinding noises when load was put on it in the upper gears. It's pretty easy to differentiate tranny sounds from the rest of the motor since your wheels have to be spinning to hear them. If you think it's coming from the trans, drain the fluid and make sure it's not metallic. You'll know if you're tranny is shot right away when you skim your finger across the surface of the silver fluid. If it is your tranny and you don't check it right away, you can have pretty serious damage result. |

Car runs fine on the street, took it on the freeway and it sounds like it might be coming from the motor. The sound also happens when I shift a quick groan and sounds fine in the next gear. I don't see any symptoms whatsoever besides the damn noise |
