 Evo Swap
Its always been a dream for me to swap a complete evo 9 drive-train and engine into a 2g eclipse. How difficult and how expensive do you think this swap would be and how realistic is it?

 Re: Evo Swap
the engine faces a different way wont happen, you can put an evo3 in but why, but you can put one in a non turbo 2g but its would be very very expensive with too much custom work

 Re: Evo Swap
it will cost $33,189
You gotta buy the motor, trans, transfercase, clutch, flywheel, driveshaft, fluids, subframes, custom axles, modify the firewall, shifter assembly, modify the chassis where the assembly bolts to, modify the rear part of the chassis to accept the evo supframe, custom fab some control arms for the rear or weld in new control arm mounting points, weld in the driveshaft bearing mounts into the tunnel to accept the evo driveshaft, evo9 engine harness, evo9 ecu, modify chassis to accept the evo motor mounts, mount an ACD pump, custom fab acd lines, wire in wheel speed sensors for acd, modify the front suspension from double wishbone to mcphearson strut, fab up new front control arms/ modify chassis for evo arm mounting points, and then pay someone to do it.
That price above should be close, but I gotta check current pricing on all the parts, and labor so far is a guesstimate. In the end, you will have a full evo, in a hacked up 12yr old chassis. If you wanna make this dream come true for you, let me know. If you want I can do some body work to make it look completely like an evo, and even swap the full interior. Hell at that point I'll swap the chassis too!
