 Re: 20g
A 20g will heatsoak a stock SMIC quickly so yes it is now time to upgrade. Now, my question yo you is, why are you throwing on a 20g without a way to control boost and i bet stock fuel setup?

 Re: 20g
the reason is because the stock waste gate was bad and insted of spendin 80 bucks on that i decide to wait and just get a better turbo and it was for a killer price. also yes i am running stock fuel system i plan on upgradeing it soon just haven made my mind on what to do.

 Re: 20g
ok! understand that the car isnt running its trowing waste gate codes so i put this turbo on thinking it could have been a small part of that reason, and i still cant get it to run somewhat decent. the car had a few issues when i bought it as aproject the tps sensor was bad, the throttle body gasket was bad, and the mas airflow was bad. and the dum fuck who did the motor swap on it forgot how the vac lines went to i have been trying to figure it out just to get it to idel for 2 min. any helpfull input would be nice. thanks!

 Re: 20g
I will be blunt with you. I hope you get your car working but if you do get it running and you have a 20G with the stock fuel system and no way to tune it proboscis won't run long before blowing up and sending a piston into the oil pan.
You can't half ass the supporting mods when upgrading to a turbo that flows as much as a 20G.

 Re: 20g
Wastegate code means that the stock bcs isn't plugged in. So you basically spend i don't know how much money and time fixing a simple problem. If you want to build a motor then i would highly suggest taking it somewhere with people who know what they're doing.

 Re: 20g
i perfer not to! there is no appreciation in paying someone to build me a motor. i just halped a buddy rebuild a 4g63 to stock specs. which isnt as hard. i just would like some input from others. like put forged rods or billlit rods, stroke it, what injectors would be best 550 or ? cause it is my dd for now.

 Re: 20g
Check if your car still has a boost control solenoid and if it is plugged in. Check this article that references where to find the part .
If you are going to buy bigger injectors and you want to build a serious motor don't waste your money on 550's. I would only buy 1000's or bigger but you will need something like ECMlink or an ECU re-flash to tune them. So it will be more money up front but save you money in the long run.

 Re: 20g
nothin wrong with someone else building your motor for you. it needs to go to a machine shop who knows there shit. Us who have built motors with forged internals have done that.

 Re: 20g
I see you spending a lot of money on your car in the future because you want to put down more power than your understanding of these cars permits. You don't fix CELs with bigger turbos and you don't build motors without supporting mods. Honestly friend, you need to step back and break open the books before you start doing big things to your car or it's not going to be a fun road.
