hks flanged pipe question / advise
ok so im trying to install this hks BOV on my car so i ordered this off ebay, not such a good idea i guess http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-5INCH- ... 35a20a70ebreason i ordered it was because i ordered this months before for a knock off RS and it worked really well http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-5-TYPE ... ccessorieswhen i got the hks pipe it turned out to be too big for the stock braided hose that goes to the TB elbow even though it was supposed to be a 2.5 inch pipe . it was also a different material than the first one i got. im kinda stuck and want to use what i have and not spend a whole lot to put the hks one. i found a place that welds aluminum who can weld 2.5 inch ends so it fits in the braided hose and to my 2.5 inch IC piping. he sent me to a place that sells all kinds of metal and told me to get the aluminum pipe the size i need so he can weld the ends on. The ppl there showed me a samples of the aluminum piping they sold there but it looked different than the rest of the pipe. Can i use any type of aluminum or does it have to be a similar type? idk much about welding and metals. Any other tips or ideas that you guys have?

HKS blow off valves suck. The real ones use a plastic valve and leak, couldn't imagine a knock off. Aside from that the stupid snap ring idea to hold it on is retarded and you have to disassemble the valve to get the damn thing on and off. At high boost, I've blown off the blow off valve, literally blew it off the flange. Why do it for a cute sound. IMHO, its a piece of sh*t that belongs on your roof rotting in the sun. Only thing ever made by HKS for DSM's that was good, is there cams. Other than that, everything is all overpriced, under-engineered, low quality, crap.

Cool I hope it welds ok. But what kind of material can I weld to it? Can I use just regular intake piping? Will it weld as long as its alu.?
