 Re: Project automatic bye bye
So then clint it would be better to pull the motor and tranny together then. I dont have A/C so ill just get rid of the lines in the back an the compressor itself. Well everything I have been pulling apart is easy mostly all of it came out together as one. The jacks are on there lowest setting and my car is to low to jack up from the front. Not even the low profile jack I borred fits under there. I was thinking of jacking up the front of the car from the sides but it looked really sketchy. I will try and lay the back of the car on something like steelies or something I dont trust my car on 4 jackstands on the back of my yard. I should have worked from the front to the back. Only reason I dont want to pull the motor is the downpipe was a bitch to bolt up to the O2 dump since it uses a nut and bolt. Im sorry for the word DELETE I meant to say remove lol. Im not really worried about smog as I have someone that does it cheap for me. I want to get rid of the emissions stuff to clean up my engine bay. I read just by removing the EGR you can remove all that crap. Ill probably keep all the stuff just in case. Thanks Clint ill get on dropping the tranny tomorrow or pull them both together. Removing my turbo again is really and I mean really sketchy.

 Re: Project automatic bye bye
You already have the harness out and the piping above the tranny out. The axles are coming out. you are just about an hours worth of work and the motor and trans is out. I say pull it all

 Re: Project automatic bye bye
Why not put the new new rear end and finish up the back portion of the swap? Your removing too much at a time. FINISH one thing at a time, rear end first then trans/tcase.

 Re: Project automatic bye bye
Trust me gus I would do that but the guy I'm straight trading up with lives in San diego we want to meet up once and trade everything at once. I know I'm doing to much at once but everything needs to come off . I would have done that gus if he lived closer but its like 1hr and 45min away not to mention traffic.

 Re: Project automatic bye bye
Why not have some friends pull up on the car by the wheel well and see if you can get the jack under there while they lift?

 Re: Project automatic bye bye
AUTOMATIC HAS BEEN ELIMINATED NOTHING LEFT IN THE CAR!!!THERE HAPPY!!! lol alright guys this is actually going pretty well minus the stupid driveshaft hanger ill worry about it later. I dropped everything now there is nothing automatic in my car theres plenty more work to be done but its still going to happen ill keep you guys updated. I spent all day yesterday marking every bolt i took out and marking it where it goes lol Here is a pic of my tranny when i pulled it out and yes that is the back seat lol Here is everything I took out man was it hard but its going to be worth it. To the guy im trading with let me know if you see anything missing from here. I did find out the Torque converter gave out it has a lot of play inside like a rattle
