I currently have a GT2871R just sitting around, and would like to move it out. The problem with it is that the coolant return line hole (side facing block) would leak even without pressure. So, I plan on chasing the threads and getting it to seal properly and then selling it. So here is a quick run down on it:

-GT2871R: It's a special PTE mutt that was put together and originally gotten from some guy on the DSMLink forums a long time ago by BBR. It's a water cooled ball bearing turbo for those of you who don't speak Garrett. It has a mitsu hot side (don't know the A/R off the top of my head). It is setup to run off an external from the o2 housing. The comp housing is a 3/2" for inlet/outlet. I remember this turbo well from when Beau had it. It was beastly on an unported 2g mani. I don't have any pictures to post of it right now, but I'll take some later after I clean it up a bit since it's just been sitting in a bag collecting dust.

This is my attempt so post a video from youtube on a computer that doesn't allow access to youtube. So if it doesn't work, I'll fix it later. This is a video of Beau on it:



Would anyone be interested in such a turbo? If so, I'll order the tap and a set coolant hardware (2g lines, banjo-bolts, w/e) for whoever is interested and get to repairing it. Just let me know.

Pictures and what I will include with it. As well as a parts list that you will need to make this work right:

It is currently attached to a stock 2g manifold. I have NO use for it, so you can have it if you would like to have it. I am still going to attempt to take it off just in case someone doesn't want the manifold.

As you can see in the corner of this picture, there is also an oil feed line and filter that is ran off the head. The filter is CRAZY old, so I took it apart. You will get the lines, and all you need is a -4AN non-restricting filter.

This is the compressor housing. It was coated by the previous owner and it's showing it's mileage a bit. But, it actually comes off pretty easy. Little elbow grease and some paint thinner is all that's needed to have a perfectly clean compressor housing.

There is no shaft play that is not standard from a ball bearing turbo.

This is the front coolant passage. As you can see, I still need to do some more cleaning of the CHRA. And it will already come with the oil restrictor fitting seen here.

I will be buying a new coolant line setup for whoever buys this so I can make sure that it is sealing properly before sold.

This last shot is the o2 housing flange. This is so you can see that it is indeed setup to run an external wastegate off of the o2. Also so you can see that the blades on the exhaust side are fine.

I will throw in that spare o2 housing gasket I have laying around.

The getting list:
-2g mani
-GT2871R Turbo
-Current bolts and washers for turbo and o2 housing.
-Current turbo gasket
-Oil feed line less the filter. Fed from head, comes with banjo bolt and crush washers (I'll get you a new set with the coolant lines so you don't have to track down just 2 of these).
-A new set of coolant lines. However you need them.
-A new o2 housing gasket I have laying around.

The need list:
-A o2 housing that lets you run some sort of external wastegate off of the o2 housing.
-Said wastegate for o2
-I would recommend a new set of turbo bolts and washers along with the o2 housing bolts and washers and a turbo gasket.
-A -4AN oil feed line filter
-A -10AN oil return line kit.
-Since this is a downward firing turbo, some work with the intercooler pipes because a 14b/16g style is not compatible at all. T-25 can be made to work but it's not the best option.

So the guy wanting to buy this (not Speed, a guy Speed knows) hasn't gotten back in contact with me, so the mutt is back up. Same deal as before, I just have new pictures with the 2g waterlines installed and I will also be throwing in a 3" Dejon Tool Intake pipe that'll work with this and a 2G MAS.

Just to let everyone know, it's actually a T04B compressor housing. This means it is a 2.62" inlet/1.75" outlet. NOT a T04E like I thought it was. Stupid me didn't do the measurements until today.

I also took off as much of that black paint that I could so it looks nicer now.
